How HerWay scores a route

Every street segment gets a Safety Score (0–100) from transparent factors — no black box:

• 🔦 Street lighting — matters most after dark
• 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Foot traffic — busy streets deter harassment
• 🏪 Open businesses — “eyes on the street”, open-late weighted at night
• ⚠️ Incident reports — community reports push scores down
• 🛟 Safe havens — police, hospitals, 24h stores nearby push scores up

Move the time-of-day slider and watch the same street change score — a well-lit plaza at noon can be a risk at 2am.

Demo build: factors come from a procedural model + your reports. Production would fuse OpenStreetMap, municipal open data and live community reports.
